? Influence of Technology on decision-making Institute of affiliation Influence of Technology on decision-making Considerably, the topic Influence of Technology on decision-making addresses the issue, to which technology affects the making of decisions in organization. Technology entails the purpose of information in production, utilization as well as design of goods and services, further, the above is done as per the human activities in an organization. It is pertinent to heed that technology is literally divided into five categories. First, it is the tangible category, which includes the models, blue prints, operating manuals and lastly the prototypes. Second category is the intangible. Here, technology is divided into sub categories involving the problem-solving, training method and lastly the consultancy section. Third category is high. It follows that the above represents the entire aspect of intelligent and automated technology that logically manipulate ever-powerful forces and finer matters. The fourth category is the intermediate part, which involve the following: partially and semi-automated technology that bears the mandate of manipulating medium level forces and refined matters. The fifth category is the low. Here, it is worth noting that the low category of technology in an organization involves a technology that manipulates the objects in a labor-intensive manner (Argenti, 2006.p. 5). It is pertinent top note that decision-making is a vital stage in the progress of manipulating data in a firm to acquire the desired output. Therefore, it is pertinent for the organization to embrace technology when solving pertinent issues on decision making as stated in this essay. On other hand, decision-making is the section of the management that is integrated. In management criterion, the sound decision-making and rational is referred to as the primary function of management. It is worth noting that for any management to be successful, managers usually take in a lot of decision either consciously or subconsciously, and letter they make it core concepts in their management role (Dede, 2000.p. 2). First, according to (Argenti, 2006.p. 23) it is important to heed that manipulate of Technology on decision-making where the decisions arte made on ladders. The author goes ahead to illustrates that the above depends on the kind of technology to be employed. Therefore, the author argues that for effective analysis of decision-making, it is pertinent to correspond it with the right technology. For instance, if process cost and data storage has gone down, it is important to employ information in the database. Therefore, it will be easier for the managers to access the information thus making necessary decisions. The articles, written by Vannoy,& Palvia,, Argenti and also Vannoy, although they both bear different tiles the authors’ aim was to bring at home the point that the kind of technology used will affect the desired output. Some of the technology in list is the emails, wireless data transfer as well as mobile phone. The authors affirm that such technology has mad it easier for those employed to tackle the communication issue in the organization. At the same time, the article written by (Awasthi, & Varman, 2010.p. 65), involves data collection by the school of economics in London. The above school collected data about the structure of organization, which was compared to multinational firm (Dede, 2000.p. 23) as per the article written by (Christensen-Szalanski, 2010). It is evident that the above study aimed at examining the links between communication technology and the information flow in organizational structure. Thus the authors asserts that ERP a long with technology paves way for the workers to effectively solve both the production and design problems without their superior’s inputs. In addition, the researchers did conclude that it ids high time for the companies to be keen on the use of technologies. The above sentence is in regard to where decisions making should be incorporated. Evident, according to the study by (Leiblein, Reuer, & Dalsace, 2007.p. 12). in his article titled “The ... Strategic Asset”, he narrates that the spread on company internets, e-mail and last Smartphone’s that are multifunctional has made it easier for the managers to be more accessible. According to (Vannoy, & Palvia, 2010.p. 27), in the article titled approaches and risk mechanism in banking industry, they affirms that other methods that illustrates the influence of technology in decision-making is the customer interaction. Some of the elements of customer interaction are the product review, the experience that customers are going through, price comparisons and social media just to mention but a few. It is evident that technology influences decision-making in an organization using the above named customer interaction procedures. For example, customer will only get the review of what he or she intends to buy if they applications such as CNET and get an account before searching for the product of the choice. Technology, further allows customers to compare prices. Some of the cell phones that customers are using are internet enabled and so, it is easier for the customers to collect data comparison in real time. According to (Vannoy, & Palvia, 2010.p. 56), in his article cooperative reconfiguration, he argues that applications on mobile phones are configured to a manner to which they cannot only scan a product but also it is enabled to receive prices form both to nearby stores and the online merchants. Mostly, the phones usually use GPRS application to compare the products online. (Gilbert, Lee-Kelley & Barton, 2008). However the above, is possible since many people usually use social Medias to inquire for a product, or even a service before making a decision. In my opinion, I admit that technology influences decision-making not only on the side of organization but also on the side of customer’s side. Technology is a quick and easier way to get to the expected destination. This is because it covers the whole world. According to the authors above, it is agreed that technology will always influence the decision-making. However, if business organization has a well-designed internet then, that firm will automatically make good decisions that will boost their sales or services. Since, the organizations usually targets the customers, then it is pertinent for the firms to stage a well organized internet for the customers to not only access but also leave a decision, in form of a comment. Yes, it matters, since technology is the key aspects of decision-making in any business plant. I recommend that, since technology has of late determined the functionality of the business in the globe, then it is mandatory for the businesses to embrace technology for a better service to the customer. Again, since the customer is great determiners of any organization, it is important for the business firms to allocate a specific place for the clients comment during the reviewing process of the products. Lastly, in alliteration, the management criterion, the sound decision-making and rational is referred to as the primary function of management. It is worth noting that for any management to be successful, managers usually take in a lot of decision either consciously or subconsciously, and letter they make it the core concepts in management role. Notably it is evident as per the experts that decision making in an organization is a course of acts that is chosen from set of alternatives to purposely accomplish the executive or organization goals or objects. Decision-making is pertinent in any organization since they facilitated the activities that involve organizational and business functioning. The above are the pertinent of decision-making in an organization whether it be a profit-making organization or non-profit organizations. It is agreed as stated by Dede, that the experts affirms that decision making in an organization is a course of acts that is chosen from set of alternatives to accomplish purposely the executive or organization goals or objects. Decision is pertinent in any organization since they facilitated the activities that involve organizational and business functioning. The above are the pertinent of decision-making in an organization whether it be a profit making organization or non-profit organizations. It is true that technology does not only affect the organization, but also the individuals who intend to purchase the online materials. The above is as the research made by the Kelsey and comScore companies. In reality, it is pertinent to heed that according to the article, it is true that decision-making in any business, comes about from the opinion of reviews by the customers. The above is true as per the business law where it is acknowledged that the reviews by the customers, adds a powerful impact on the decision-making in business. However, this is possible since a well-scheduled technology will allow customer to add comments on the products they review. Therefore, this is why customer reviews plays a vital role in decision-making in any given organization. This is managed by the use of preferred technology. I agree to the fact that technology should be adhered to in firms since the information from technological networks will act as a decision-making criterion on what product to buy, at the same time, business firms will use the information from the customer’s side to make decision on the brands. This insinuates, it is not only the firms who benefit on technology when it comes to decision- making but also customers are happy to use technology in their purchasing decision-making. Therefore, with the above literature review it is concluded that technology literary influences the decision-making. References Gilbert, D., Lee-Kelley, L., & Barton, M. (2008).
