Executive Summary The main objective of Oasis football club is to bring a football club to San Antonio, Texas that would cajole the responsiveness and backing of the Latino populace as well as other demographics. The club is relatively new in San Antonio and it is predicted to face stiff competition from the existing hockey team. All the same, the management of the Oasis Football Club is confident that the club will turn out to be a huge success as reflected from its strengths and opportunities. Conceptual Description of Oasis Football Club Oasis football club is a professional football team that is under private ownership. The club is located in the Eastern conference of the city of San Antonio, Texas State in the United States. The club chose to reside in San Antonio as it happens to be a major tourism hub and hence an opportunity to offer a wide range of fan base. The city also has a liking for soccer as evidenced from the numerous number of soccer schools in the city. The city also has a number of upcoming professionals in the soccer career. The club was founded in January 2015 and its preliminary season is scheduled for February 2016. Mission Statement of Oasis Football Club The Oasis Football Club is dedicated to endorsing and improving the football game among its fans. We are going to be the club that every fan of football will look up to for success and other accomplishments. We will replicate comprehensiveness and diversity. We will set the criterions for proficient football clubs. Long Term Goals First, we plan to have sales of our merchandise of an average of $1 million for the first two years. Secondly, we plan to have an additional of five more sponsors for our club in the first two years. Thirdly, we plan to start a fundraising aimed at raising $1 million so as to support the children suffering from Down syndrome and Autism in the first two years. Lastly, we plan to have the salaries of our players at an average of $90,000 for the first two years. Short Term Goals First, we plan on winning at least three quarters of our matches during our opening season. Secondly, we plan on having a minimum attendance of 86% of fans during the opening of our season. Thirdly, we plan on hiring at least 7% of our employees from the local community. Lastly, we intend to raise the sponsorship of the youth football organizations by at least 14% while still keeping our club profitability. SWOT Analysis Strengths of Oasis Football Club Oasis football club has an upper-level administration making its management to be efficient. It will have hygienic and hospitable facilities that will provide a safe working environment for its members. The club’s prices will be sound and affordable to its members. Its upper level administration which is properly trained will be in a position to employ industrious workers (FC United of Manchester, 2010). The club will also be able to organize various events ranging from banquets to dinners designed for sophisticated guests for all the ticket holders of the club. Its workers will be afforded a proper job satisfaction as well as miscellaneous benefits out of their good performance in the workplace. There will equally be opportunities for internships as well as career growth to its employees who hold the lower levels of management. Due to its well-thought strategies, it will be able to retain most if not all of its employees and get the appreciation of its customers. Lastly, the club will have the ability to make its advertisements through the use of a marketing and communication mix that is creative and strategic. Weaknesses of Oasis Football Club Despite the many strengths that Oasis Football Club will have, it will however be faced with a few weaknesses. This weaknesses if not properly addressed may hinder its success in the business world. First and foremost, there are chances of a slow commencement in the capturing of an initial base of fans. However, this weakness is likely to be countered once the Oasis football club gins popularity in the region and this is simply a matter of time. There are also challenges in achieving a target market as well as the predicted profits (Fort William Football Club, 2014). Most of the activities to be undertaken will need funding and this might be a huge challenge if the initial funding is not procured. The team’s ability to attend to all matters of the club and register an overall outstanding performance is also a weakness. Lastly, there would be a weakness of coordination and cooperation among the members of the club if team work is not upheld. Opportunities for Oasis Football Club There is an increase in the popularity of football/soccer in the United States. This means that the club will be able to acquire initial funding from interested stakeholders as well as to capture a wide fan base. Since this will be the first football club to be hosted in the city of San Antonio, it then translates to mean that the club will play a major role in bringing revenue to the city. Human Resource Plan The Oasis Football club intends to have a wide variety of human resource. It plans to have at least 7% of its employees coming from the local community in which it is based. The club will hire skilled coaches to train the football players. It also plans on hiring an efficient support staff that will offer the needed support to the players. Marketing Plan The marketing plan of Oasis Football Club will be based on four major strategies. These are the pricing strategy, product placement, branding strategy and a marketing mix. The pricing strategy will be based on the types of the ticket holders. The price of the tickets will vary depending on whether the holder is a VIP, member, non-member, adults or young persons (Vrontis, 2014). The ticket prices of the members will be slightly lower than those of the non-members. This will give an intuition to the non-members to have a longing of joining the club so as to pay cheaper ticket prices. The ticket prices for the young people will be slightly lower than those of the older people. This is to encourage all the age-groups to be attending the club activities. This is also due to the consideration that the young people may not be having huge sums of money at their disposal to spend for buying tickets. Under product placement strategy, the Oasis football club will be able to distribute both its tangible and intangible products. The tangible products will be distributed through the use of our club shop which is situated at the ingress of the gate to the chief stadium. We also have an online website in which both the members and non-members can place their orders which will then be available to them at an agreed point. The address of our online website is www.oasisfootballclub.com. Our intangible products, the games events, will be consumed by the fans through the use of the television. The fans will be in a position to view our matches from their television sets. During the commercial breaks, various advertisements will be placed featuring our club logo. Our sponsors will also be featured during these breaks. Under the branding strategy, our football club intends to employ different modes of promotion strategies so as to capture a wide fan base ranging from the small kids to the old people. During the games, the club officials will be distributing the club t-shirts and various prices to the fans (Hawthorn Football Club, 2013).
