Personal Reflection This assignment was a big learning experience for me. Starting from the flow of knowledge the innovative ways of knowledge management, which are very new concepts to Me., I discovered logical use of knowledge, which is practical in solving problems. The case was a good example for study of Commonkads .it gave me many options for communications and in human resources and business management. It helped me to know the various inside functions of enterprises so that I can easily solve the communication problems of the business organisation. Communication problems in businesses remain unresolved, as they are hard to define and even to understand the problem. The core issues remain in the background From the above framework, I sought now to solve the efficiency problems of EMS .I had to find a communications policy to help EMS in decision-making within the organisation and to assist in decisions outside the business. I discovered that the GP delay could be adapted to commonkads models so that it can be reorganised in a more Suitable ways to practical use of a superior system is to solve the challenge of the geographical size according to the population served by the EMS, which is very big size in terms of logistics. This is very crucial in the modelling of this large population to fit with EMS organisation is very daunting task in regards to its complexity and the resources needed to implement such a system is immense. This is also more tasking due to number of many calls at 400 daily as well as the number of people in the Netherlands area at 1250000 divided into seventeen municipalities. This large number of people implies also that the number of deaths will continue to increase unless an urgent solution is food for these organisations problems. It also increased the problems if scheduling for ambulances to for emergency trips to pick sick heart patients due to the several callers which made it difficulty and very tiresome for the dispatchers These problems could be better by advocacy for government intervention in policy changes to increase training for more medical centres to serve the increased number of emergencies. and train more staff in line with finding methods to solve the problems of resources planning and resource mobilisation to assist is the Ems to meet its mission and vision of saving lives. Information Politic The ‘Information Politic’ by Davenport & Prusak, is a reading material, which helped to gain a deeper understanding of the EMS case.1 The article reading has detailed explanations of how of communications problems bring difficulties in inside many firms. Several of these communications issues are apparent at EMS. We see that many emergencies from outside the Ems organisation an and Ems has no control over how many calls to handle since entire area is very big and the populations number is highly concentrated It is hard to know in advance how many ambulance will be send out in any particular day. In addition, it affects the communication system we want to use at the EMS, as this affect the operations of the Ems in several ways:-first is from staff communication, both within and outside EMS management communication as well as the public relations communications with the external communities. The effectiveness and the efficiency of the communication inside EMS institution then will reflect into the steps and policies taken by the staff of EMS, including the field staff in the ambulance. Urgent solutions have to be in place by use of knowledge systems to solve communication issues by implementing the commonkads and communications models. The communications issue once solved will automatically lead to adoption of a suitable communication model, which according to Davenport & Prusak, is the federalist model of communication2. This will give a best understanding and if communication management systems at EMS and a better service to clients and patients The concept of Ba This article expounds and analyses the various steps to be followed in design of a knowledge creation and management systems through a systematic concept of communication which is defined as the ‘concept of Ba’ it defines the source or the place especially from the groups formed within organisations 3. These groups must extend to the group of customers of the organisational and the groups of staff members or employees teams settings. These group settings lead to creation of different types of knowledge, is classifies, into two forms. It can either be Explicit or Tacit Knowledge .this give us an examples of the models suitable to be used to design better communication to development of knowledge management systems for various organisations. According to Nonaka & Konno, they argue that the concept of Ba postulates t many various ways to built and manages a good knowledge system4.There are critical success factors, for problem solving and including strengths and opportunities of all organisations. These cases are similar to the EMS case they bring out feasibility concerns in the way we use systems design and implementing to integrate all functions that related to particular organisations depending on the field of operations. This informs the concept of Ba to implement as per each organization needs according to service requirements5. Application of Reading Materials to the EMS These two readings help us to understand the problems facing EMS. It also gives an insight into the change management in communication opportunities .these opportunities give a technical analysis undertaking feasibility studies and project feasibility knowledge base to give foundation to develop a better organization6. This will extend the means to systems upgrading to better systems modelling and service improvement. The use of better technology usually a technological upgrade with simultaneous training of staff to be able to use the new technology in adopting the new systems to the communication needs of the organisation7. This will give it a proactive problem solving communication model due to the changing needs of organisations as technology continues to discover new way of service delivery and communication technical and methods of knowledge systems modelling. Budgetary issue will come to attentions as well as communication planning this is because it cost economies of scale oleo cost of new technology upgrade. Technical soundness and affordability will be analysed and pinpoint the new emerging issue of how this will fill service demand levels and serve the business needs of the organisation for better performance in terms of measurable outcomes of the EMS The results of implementation of the new systems needs to be carefully analysed and thoroughly modelled tom have both advantages and disadvantages. The new system should have better advantages to outweigh the disadvantages. This will lead to a good conclusion that the new system is indeed improvement to service and their implementation has distinct advantages that are tangible and visible8. The question we must ask is what are the impacts of the new systems to EMS? The concept of Ba can be use as a good proposal to implement to create new knowledge by uses of groups or teams at the Ems. Secondly, it is useful for the management of the created knowledge. The knowledge base of the concept of Ba is the individual experiences at the workplace and the groups of customer use their product testing experience to give feedback to the organisation therefore creation more knowledge for the Firm9. The outside knowledge form customer is useful to improve product development by combination with staff groups experience at work in product engineering. Both The Articles, ‘The Information Politic’, and, ‘The concept of ‘Ba’’, have helped to focus on the knowledge systems and how to systematically model systems to our own uses in assisting organisations in salving problems like EMS10They succinctly indicate how to create knowledge, how to maintain the new knowledge and how to develop more knowledge within an organisation. To achieve the goal of communication systems upgrade in organisation will also demand skills upgrade for staff and therefore human resources training sessions for all staff through emergency simulation exercise and conceptual training seminars. This will give benefits and more advantage to the organisations when using the concept of Ba is to create and maintain knowledge systems fro better business solutions framework11. To implement the concept of Ba the article suggests the use of the created concept of SECI model. This means Socialization, Externalization, combination and Internalization12. The steps involve first step of socialisation all the staff from various socio-cultural background to come to same level of business understanding, they have to have common forms of operations of the enterprise. From their common understanding by use socialisation to create unity in diversity .the second step would be to share the common knowledge with other outside or external groups or teams. This second step of concept of externalisation helps us to get other people about our service planning charter so that they also give their inputs to the improvement of our services at EMS.13 The third step will be to the external people to start internalising and deeper understanding of our operations planning as well as customers understand our business processes when they trade with us hence they also internalise knowledge of our operations14 . In addition, we can benefits form consumer surveys from those related people with services of EMS as they understand our operations, their insight will therefore benefit our future product development. The final fourth concept of combination will now combines the whole teams and external people’s concept of our service into an integrated whole system of the concept of Ba fro the EMS15. This involves then diffusion processes of the new knowledge systems for father improvement the services for better performance and success. Cited Works 1. T. Davenport, &L.
