Increase Sales by 8% by the end of 2011

Operational Goals

The operational goals established are in line with the strategic plan of the organisation. The operational goals seek to achieve the overall goal of the organisation which is to increase sales by 8% by the end of year 2011. These operational goals include;

a).To has an equal number of staff deployed in the two offices that is Melbourne or Adelaide.

b).To have standardised and equal customer service training opportunity to staff members periodically after every quarter of the year.

c).To monitors development on the acquired skills after training and implementation

Having equal number of staff members stationed in the two offices would mean that the expected output from the two offices is to be at level or at par drive the goal of increasing sales by the expected target of 8 Equal number of recruitment personnel in the two offices would mean the the set targets would be the same and aim at increasing sales by 8%. Staff training is standardised to be able to pass the same critical information to staff that enables them to improve their overall performance.Performance evaluation of the employees helps to track the collective performance of the two offices based on sales returns at relate to strategic plan.

Resources and Funds

Resources in regards to the number of personnel required in the two new offices and the adequate funds to facilitate every departmental activity are essential. Highly competent and skilled personnel are to be involved in the development and growth of the department across the two offices. These resources include;

Identifying strategic goals

For this part the stakeholders are presented with detailed costing and elaborate statement on resources to show what is required by the department.   • Technology Strategy; The use of technology to increase productivity of the department.

Prioritise strategic goals

The strategic goals are then placed in realistic timelines. It entails all the activities that are to be performed to achieve the strategic goals. It encompasses the staff level required, costs, both internally and externally. A clearly drawn contingency plan and risk management plan is also captured and it meets the confidence level of the senior management to cover for any fall-back in case the plan goes wrong.

Measurable in terms of what target to be achieved like how much. Achievable set targets like achieving 20% increase in sales by the first half of 2011 the objective is realistic and relevant to the organisation. The objectives are met with strict adherence of time.
