"Social Life During the Coronavirus Pandemic" is an excellent example of a paper on social and family issues.

The Coronavirus pandemic is one of the most devastating pandemics to occur historically. As a student, I have been affected socially, spiritually, psychologically, and academically. The pandemic has made me realize that life can change at any moment. Initially, I had an open attitude and multiple expectations of the future. However, I am currently conflicted about life and what to expect tomorrow or the one. It is one of the most devastating times where everything has come to a halt. The situation has initiated specific changes in my life for the past few months. Although social life is the most affected aspect of my life, it is vital to consider the pandemic's spiritual, academic, and social impacts.

Socially, I have made a lot of discoveries. I am partially an introvert with extrovert traits making the pandemic affect me intensely. Socially, I am a sucker for good music and after-school meetups with some of my coursemates. The meetups provide me with the opportunity to network and share more thoughts academically. However, since the start of the pandemic, every individual is expected to keep a social distance. Self-quarantine has become a norm for every individual in society (Rudnick, 2020). Thus, it means that no group interactions and maintaining personal face are the priority. The new rules required some adjustments in my life. Consequently, the adjustments meant that I should start appreciating my company. The adjustments have been challenging but achievable over time.

In the past two months, I have made certain realizations. First, I realized that I have a lot of time on my hands. Initially, I was taking a lot of free time for granted. Perhaps, the pandemic was a wake-up call for me since I have started focusing on personal projects. Secondly, I have realized that I can accomplish more in a day. With the amount of time at my disposal, I have set individual goals that are achievable with the right mindset and determination. I have learned to channel my energy into more fulfilling courses. Thirdly, I have learned how to make more social interactions’ the internet. The internet has made it easy to interact with my peers and classmates on different levels. Perhaps, the adjustments have made me realize I can adjust to any devastating situation.

Psychologically I have also experienced some instances of stress and personal conflicts. Before the pandemic, I had individual goals and ideas about life that have changed in the past months. After the reality of the pandemic dawned on me, the first weeks were stressful. The primary source of my stress was the uncertainty that the Coronavirus posses for everyone (Rudnick, 2020). Correspondingly, the economic state of the country is in jeopardy, and the sad fact is I still have to spend on bills. The increasing worry about the financial implication of the pandemic is the leading contributor to my stress. Although the government has helped subsidize prices on some goods, I can still feel the pandemic's economic impact on a personal level. Adjusting to the current situations is one of the ways I have used to control stress.

Academically, there are specific unavoidable changes that had to be made. When the Coronavirus's impact and effects were evident for the government, some academic changes were inevitable. The education had to be adjusted to fit the necessary social distancing guidelines. In this case, the attendance of classes had to change. Instead of attending classes in person, I had to attend them online. The online classes limited the interactions I had with my classmates and teachers. Thus, I had to adapt to online classes and research. I am currently more focused on utilizing the online academic resources and interacting with my lecturers through mail when the need arises. Over time, I have realized that learning from home is as effective as learning from class. I have generated more useful academic resources from online sites and pages. Perhaps, the only challenge is doing exams within the specified period.

Spiritually the pandemic has reminded me that there is still hope. The online Sunday sermons and the community spiritual support groups have been vital during these trying times. Markedly, the online community platform has provided a support system for other believers and me. The pandemic is affecting each individual on a personal level making it easy to gain support and hope. Furthermore, the platforms have offered me psychological and emotional support. It has made me realize that the pandemic is a global crisis, and we can all come together to help the needy. For instance, some platforms have fundraising programs that raise money for the less fortunate in society. Therefore, the pandemic has made me realize that people can be united even in the most devastating times.

In conclusion, the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted my personal life both negatively and positively. At first, the stress levels were elevated, and I was uncertain about the future. However, after a few months, I have realized that I could adjust to the new living conditions or standards. At the moment, I know social distancing is necessary, and I should stay home until the condition is contained. The pandemic has made me participate in online charity projects while improving my academic knowledge. I have also learned personal time management skills since I have been able to fit the online classes on my schedule. Thus, the Corona pandemic is a situation I have learned to adjust to with time.
