Vehicle Car service models for DMS Introduction This report presents the detailed analysis of the new information system design at Dod-gee Motor Sales (DMS) Limited. In this business we are going to develop a new information system for the better business and organizational support. In this structure we are aimed at developing an automated system that would offer the business a better and enhanced support for the better business sales, account and deals management. System Analysis/Design Model Class Diagram 1- Business Model Business Use cases Business use cases involve different business operations that are represented in the use case format. Here is the explanation of the each use case. Introduction This business use case involves all processes and procedures involved in the business operations. This business use case involves all operations regarding the business dealing and handling regarding the car servicing at the Dod-gee Motor Sales (DMS) Limited business. Primary Actors Customer Receptionist Finance manager Servicing Staff Technical service handler Service clerk Secondary Actors Management Accounts Manger Servicing Workers Business operations use case 1 Process customer request Registering new customer Issuing appointment Adding log and registration number Giving turn for servicing Business operations use case 2 Developing Vehicle servicing form UpdatinPg form for working components Adding additional work and components Estimating work cost Developing receipt Handle payment Explanation This use case has presented the main business operations performed all through the business. In this use case it is outlined how car servicing business will perform different operations. These operations include the appointment taking, servicing and payment. In this overall system working and handling we need to take different decision and assessment for giving appointment and dealing payments. These use case will offer a better insight into different business operations while development. Business process flows Introduction In this diagram the main procedure and flow of business operations are shown. These diagrams have elaborated the main sequence of operations and procedures that have been performed through the overall business processes regarding the car servicing. This is a decision and action based approach that demonstrates the overall behaviors of the business dealing and operational handling. 1- In this BPMN diagrams for the business use cases I have presented the same scenario of operations as presented in the use case diagram. Here I have outlined the main decision points and areas where we can take the decision before moving to the next level. In the vehicle servicing process the initial step or decision is taken on the basis that the customer is new or old. If customer is old one then we assign him log no and issues the appropriate appointment. In case of new customer we need to take his complete information and feed it into main database and then issue the log and registration number. Then we take the next decision regarding the available working slot. Means time slot for servicing the vehicle. In case of available slot we issue the appointment otherwise we issue next date or time. 2- The scenario is about the detailed analysis of vehicle servicing and estimation of the cost. When a car is serviced and some new components are added in this scenario a customer service form is filled that elaborates the main components added and further services offered. Then cost is calculated and payment is carried out. Here we need decision about the payment method and confirmation of the payment carried out by the customer. 2. System Requirements Model Complete System Use case-1 Introduction In this use case the overall procedure of the system operations are shown. This use case is about the main steps that system will perform regarding the handling of a request of customer for the car servicing and issuing of the appointment. The main operations system will perform are: Take customer requirements Check for customer pervious record Add customer and vehicle details Check for available servicing slot Issuing appointment date/time Primary Actors Customer Receptionist Secondary Actors Management Accounts Manger Servicing Workers System Requirements Model Use case-2 This use case is about the servicing and calculation of the cost for the operations and components added in any car. Here we will perform main services and calculate the cost for the any new services added of components replaced. Main operations are: Develop servicing form Add new components added and special work done Add cost Create customer invoice Check payment method Verify through EPOS Update customer record Primary Actors Customer Receptionist Success criteria In this system working the main success criteria is overall completion of the servicing process in case of availability of correct customer details. Failure criteria In case of in-valid credit card number system will deny the access and overall operation of sales will stop. System Requirements Model Single function Use case-2 Main Operations are Develop servicing form Add new components added and special work done Add cost Create customer invoice Check payment method Verify through EPOS Update customer record Main Actors Customer Financial manager Technical service handler Service clerk Success criteria In this system working the main success criteria is overall completion of the Servicing process in case of availability of correct customer details. Failure criteria In case of in-valid credit card number system will deny the access and overall operation of customer services will stop. 3. System Analysis/Design Model UML sequence diagrams 1 & 2 These diagrams represent the main operations carried out in the overall business and offer a sequence of the operations that are performed in the business handling and management regarding car servicing process. These both diagrams have represented the main operations performed by the above given use cases. 3. System Analysis/Design Model Class Diagram The class diagram has demonstrated the main class of the information system. Here we have following classes of the system operations. Customer This class represents the main class of customers that will come to business. These customers can come for cars servicing. Cars This class represents the cars that came for the services. The main information like owner name, car number, year of manufacturing are recorded here. Servicing This class represents the operations of the business that is servicing. This involves the spare parts used, cost of parts, and working cost. Invoice This class offers the user to access the account of customer where his cost and services are noted. Appointment This class notes down the appointments that are reserved for services. Conclusion In this report I have presented a detailed analysis of the Dod-gee Motor Sales (DMS) Limited new information system implementation for the car services. I have outlined different business and system related models. I have outlined some main business diagrams for the effective business development.
