Noble Action, Sacred Call, or Desire If one takes a close look at life of Siddhartha Gautama, one will be able to see thatthe quest to find enlightenment occupies the most significant place in it. It would not be an exaggeration to suggest that this actions falls under the category of a sacred call. Indeed, from the early childhood this person knew nothing, but the best side of the world and when he saw the ugly reality, his heart told him that there should be something that was able to explain the inequality of life.

Thus, Siddhartha Gautama was the only one who heard this call and wanted to follow this path of inner evolution. What is more important is that he was not able to find any rest until he finally resolved the greatest riddle in the Universe.Nevertheless, this spiritual quest is accompanied by actions that were viewed as rather negative by people other than the future Buddha. It is quite obvious that his decision to leave his family behind and pursue a matter of personal interest should be criticized in the modern world.

Today’s culture would argue that this is extremely disrespectful towards other people, especially those who did their best to make sure the Gautama had a wonderful life. What is more important is that the success of his spiritual journey is uncertain, while the harm that is done to the people around him is easily observable. That is why the actions in question would be a target of criticism in the contemporary society.
